Pai Gow 5-3 Poker

In Pai Gow you split your cards into two poker hands and try to beat both of the dealer's hands. The 5-3 in the title refers to the split, a five-card hand and a three-card hand, with the five-card hand needing to outrank the smaller one. Ties on either hand usually favour the banker, so read the rules first.

Before you start

How a round works

Your hand is played against the dealer's hand only. Place the ante, look at your cards, then decide whether to continue with a further bet or fold.

The dealer may need a qualifying hand before every bet is paid in full. The table shows the qualifying rule.

Optional bonus bets pay on the strength of your own hand, whatever the dealer holds.
